Hoonida Kim’s pilot showcase 《Space Composition》 will be held at Post Territory Ujeongguk on November 13. The event will be presented alongside the launch of “Float 3” by Hezuk Press.

“Float” is the first curatorial project by Hezuk Press, producing, distributing, and cataloguing printed matter as artworks. Approximately every three months, one artist is invited and given 16 pages. The artist creates a new work with the printed matter conceived as the final artwork, while Hezuk Press produces and distributes a total of 500 copies.

As the third artist to participate in “Float,” Hoonida Kim is an air sculptor who records and plays back sounds collected from everyday life through his self-made “Soundscape Apparatus.”

The devices animate the spaces in which they are installed through spatial conditions, sound performance, and external influences, while activating the audience’s senses of hearing and touch. For this edition of “Float,” the artist presents a kind of manual book that compares the apparatus for “space composition” to the human body.
