In December 2016, as the year came to a close, Gallery Koo presents Cha Ji Ryang’s solo exhibition “One Exhibition,” 《Never Mine》. The artist was born in Seoul, lived while moving through various places in Korea, and experienced the time of leaving over a long period. In this exhibition, Cha Ji Ryang divides the journeys he has undergone as an artist and introduces them metaphorically as the exhibition’s protagonists A, B, and C.

Cha Ji Ryang, who has focused on the individual operating within social systems, has explored how a single individual flows through each person’s life.

This exhibition captures the process by which individuals existing in different times and spaces take on autonomous attitudes while not easily disappearing.

In the exhibition title, “annyeong” carries the meaning of “farewell,” but the “annyeong” that viewers come to feel through the exhibition is an “annyeong” of peace and well-being that can be applied to life, including the artist himself.
