《Geometry, Beyond Simplicity》 begins with an interpretation of the geometrically structured spaces of Museum SAN.

Originating as a branch of mathematics and once regarded primarily in terms of complex formulas and principles, geometry has come to be recognized through familiar forms such as triangles, squares, and circles as it has developed relationships with fields including art, architecture, and design.

Focusing on the simple forms represented by geometric shapes, this exhibition examines how geometry is applied in contemporary Korean art. Through paintings, sculptures, and installations presented under three themes—“From Simplicity,” “Toward Simplicity,” and “Beyond Simplicity”—the exhibition offers an opportunity to understand the architecture of Museum SAN and contemporary art together from a multidimensional perspective.
