The organizing committee of the JEONJU International Film Festival unveiled the official poster for its 27th edition on February 19.

Since 2020, the JEONJU International Film Festival has developed an annual graphic campaign featuring diverse variations of the initial "J" from JEONJU, visually expressing the festival's identity.

According to the festival organizers, the newly unveiled official poster "uses the initial 'J,' rendered in sharp graphic forms, to express the festival's direction of expanding artistic genres through new forms of expression and imagination beyond established symbols."

The organizers further explained that "the poster incorporates an analog production approach using printed materials, paper, and objects that emphasize the tactile quality of the human hand, seeking to evoke human warmth and cinematic sensibility in an increasingly technologically advanced environment."

Artist Na Kim participated in the design of this year's poster. Based in Berlin and Seoul, Kim has explored the boundaries where the language of design meets the grammar of art, expanding the possibilities of visual thinking through various media.

Art Director Tae-heon Kim stated, "Faced with questions about the future of art, this year's JEONJU International Film Festival seeks to restore human warmth by moving against the tide of increasingly advanced AI. We aim to draw attention once again to the value of the unrefined human touch, which machine computation cannot replicate, and to the cinematic soul shaped solely by human warmth."

With the unveiling of its official poster marking the beginning of its preparations, the 27th JEONJU International Film Festival will take place over ten days, from April 29 to May 8, 2026, along Jeonju Film Street and throughout the city of Jeonju.
